The Tanoto Center for Asian Family Business and Entrepreneurship Studies at HKUST is proud to announce that Prof. Jess H. Chua, a member of our Advisory Committee and Chair of the Research Subcommittee, was listed by Web of Science as one of the “Highly Cited Researchers 2019” in the category of Economics and Business. The recognition was given to the top 1% in citations by the world’s community of scholars over the 2008-2018 decade. He also made the list for 2017. We were always aware of his important contributions to our understanding about family business but are gladly surprised by this recognition that his influence ranks so highly in the entire field of Economics and Business.
Prof. Chua has been recognized by many others, among them: the Financial Post of Canada who awarded him the Leaders in Management Education Award for contributions to management practice through his teaching, research and consulting; the University of Southern California Greif Center for Entrepreneurship Studies who awarded him the Research Impact Award for a paper about nonfinancial goals of family firms; and the Haskayne School of Business MBA Society who awarded him the Teaching and Learning Award.
The Tanoto Center sincerely thanks Prof. Chua for his strategic advice and academic support in the recent years.
